How to get to Thessaloniki?

• Thessaloniki is located in Northern Greece. The easiest way to reach the city is by flying into Thessaloniki’s Airport, SKG, which is only a 40 minute flight from Athens International Airport, ATH.

• From SKG Airport, The city center is around 15-20 minutes via car, taxi or bus.

Transportation within the city

• Thessaloniki has many busses and taxis which are available at all hours.

• Bike rentals are available on the waterfront near Makedonia Palace Hotel.

• Thessaloniki is also a very walkable city. Most bars, restaurants, hotels, etc. are within a 10-20 minute walk of everything.

Transportation to the Venue

Transportation using the Taxi Way App

• A great way to get around without having to rent a car is by using the Taxi Way app which is a ridesharing/taxi app in the city. We recommend you download it before your trip for your convenience. Visit the website for more info or download the app! https://taxiway.gr/en/

What do I need to know about renting a car?

• In order to rent a car, you will need your international driver’s license. Some rental car companies have kiosks at SKG, but most have a shuttle which will pick you up from the airport and bring you to their office. (“Don’t forget to add insurance!” -Mike)
